Quick Filter is an extension for Thunderbird 3 that adds easy email filtering capabilities to the email client. The extension tends to recall the old quick search system of Thunderbird 2.0 but with more features. It adds an extra toolbar with Unread, Starred, Contact, Tags, Attachments search message types. With better search filter types; sender, recipients and subject that are no longer hidden in a pop-up menu but are well outlined in the toolbar, its easier to know what kind of search you are performing. Viewnior is a feather-weight image viewer application that supports basic editing operations such as save, delete, rotate, flip, and crop. It also has fullscreen and slideshow options and, supports animations. It comes as the in-built image viewer in lightweight Linux operating systems like Puppy Linux.
To install on your Ubuntu be it Lucid or Karmic, get in the PPA, update and install with sudo apt-get install viewnior. Easy to compile source codes — with instructions are also available.

Ubuntu One is testing a new feature that extends the existing Ubuntu One contacts synchronization capabilities to support mobile phones. Before, syncing your contacts via Ubuntu One was limited only to desktops – for example, you could view and edit your Evolution contacts via Ubuntu One.
