On installing Gnome Gmail on your Ubuntu Desktop you get the option to set Gmail as your default mail reader in Preferred Applications. In other words, with Gnome Gmail, Gmail becomes an email desktop client like Thunderbird or Evolution. Its supports “To:”, “Subject:”, “body”, “CC:”, and “BCC: fields, so when you click on an email link in your web browser Gmail readily comes-up, you can right-click a file, select “Send to” to attach the file and place it in your Drafts folder, naturally you’ll have to emit your Gmail username and password. The open source music player Amarok takes a big leap from version 2.2.2 to version 2.3.0. Amarok 2.3 codenamed “Clear Light” comes with many bug fixes and several noticeable changes that made its developers opt for a new label name that skips the nomenclature. The new condensed experimental main toolbar displays only one control button at a time – the next and previous control buttons display the names of the respective track. Eye-candy, theme-driven Applications Menu, GnoMenu updates to version 2.5 with lots of bugs fixes and a new theme called iTheme, see screenshot above. GnoMenu 2.5 also improves gtk theming, its now smoothly continuous than ever before, those who have used previous version will certainly notice that.
You’ll also get a notification bubble when you add new items to the favorite list, needs libnotify – ça va sans dire, make use of the right-click menu to quickly add items to the favorites list.
GnoMenu is available in the Launchpad Repositories, its a free download for Gnome desktops like Ubuntu – it is released under the GNU/GPL license.

Google Chrome Dev Channel updates to version 5.0.335 for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms, this update comes with fixes issues regarding the new Content Settings window.
