Mozilla readmits Conduit Toolbars on Mozilla Add-ons (AMO) Firefox

In a recent update of its Add-on Policies, Mozilla readmits the once forbclassden Conduit toolbars on Mozilla Add-ons, also known as AMO. Conduit toolbars generated with tools from Conduit were removed from AMO principally because of their ‘poor’ quality and privacy standards. Mozilla and Conduit paired up to work on security and privacy issues on Conduit toolbars with the aim of making them acceptable again on AMO. More»

Jolicloud ‘Robby’ Pre-Final with HTML5 for Web Apps released

Jolicloud, the Ubuntu based Linux distribution for netbooks is now HTML5 ready, the Jolicloud team ditched Mozilla Prism web app rendering engine for a customized version of Chromium with HTML5 capabilities, and h.264 video codec support. Thunderbird 3.0.4 Update Available for all platforms

Thunderbird 3.0.4

Open source desktop email client, Thunderbird has been update to version 3.0.4 for all platforms. This update focuses on security and stability, a total of 82 bugs have been fixed – 19 were considered critical. Several fixes were also to the user interface.

Thunderbird 3.0.4 is now available for download at Mozilla Messaging, with release notes. If you are using Thunderbird 3.x.x then check for updates.

Google Chrome Dev channel has been updated to 5.0.360.4 for Windows and Mac and 5.0.360.5 for Linux. Google in this update has taken many by surprise by integrating Flash to the Chrome browser. For now you need this command-line switch to enable the Flash plug-in; --enable-internal-flash, but not long from now all Chrome versions will have flash by default. More»
