Firefox 3.6.4 with Crash Protection for ‘out of process plug-ins’ gets closer to the final release and leaves beta. The first release candidate of Firefox 3.6.4 is now available to download and public testing. This version fixes 202 bugs found in previous beta builds of Firefox 3.6.4 – 23 are marked as critical. If no issues are found during testing this build will be officially released as Firefox 3.6.4 final in the coming weeks. More»

Firefox Sync (formerly known as Weave Sync) that will sooner become a feature of Firefox, in an upcoming major release, is officially out of Mozilla Labs. You can now download Firefox Sync v1.3 add-on at Mozilla Add-ons. In Mozilla rebrands Weave Sync as Firefox Sync I mentioned some of the features included in the then Firefox Sync 1.3b5 such as the rebranding of Weave Sync as Firefox Sync, a completely new and intuitive graphical user interface (a simpler sign-up and setup process), an improved sync-response-time. The KOffice team has announced the release of KOffice 2.2, the free and open source office suite. KOffice 2.2 comes half a year after the release of KOffice 2.1 and brings many new features and bug fixes.
Top amongst these new features is the return of Kexi data management application with a new user interface and a new reporting framework, it was last released in KOffice 1.6. More»
