Mozilla has just released a security and stability update to Firefox 3.6.x. Firefox 3.6.4 beta 4 fixes 194 bugs, 21 are considered critical, in Firefox 3.6.x brand, across all supported platforms; Windows, Linux and Mac. The update package is available via Firefox’s update manager for Firefox 3.6.x users – you can also download FF 3.6.4 beta 4 directly from Mozilla’s all-beta web page.
“Firefox 3.6.4 provides uninterrupted browsing for Windows and Linux users when there is a crash in the Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime or Microsoft Silverlight plugins.”

To hunt down outdated Plug-ins in Firefox, Mozilla rolled out last year the Plug-in Check feature that checked for out-of-date plug-ins for Firefox. “Outdated plug-ins are a major source of security and stability risk for web users, and some studies have put the proportion of users with older versions as high as 80%”. Firefox Mobile 1.1 beta 1 for Nokia’s Maemo platform is now available. Nokia N900 owners can grab and test this beta version that introduces many new UI (User Interface) features.
