Current versions of the Firefox (Firefox 3.5.5/ Firefox 3.6 Beta) browser have the “Progress bar” located at the “Status Bar” but upcoming Firefox 3.7 will introduce a new feature that moves the “Progress bar” into each tab.
You can add this feature to your current Firefox by installing this feather-weight extension called Tab Progress Bar – it takes only 6 KB of disk space.
Whilst waiting for feature-packed Firefox 3.7 get a piece of that future right now.
Tab Progress Bar is a free download for all platforms. It works wherever Firefox does.

Not much can be said on Firefox 3.5.5 stability update. The release notes says Firefox 3.5.5 is a tiny update to “Fix several stability issues”. – nothing else, the changelog presents 5 bugs, 3 of which are considered critical. Ubuntu users still have to wait for updates via the Update Manager or grab Firefox 3.5.5 from the Mozilla website.

For Windows, Linux and Mac: “Facebook Dislike” is a pretty but useless Firefox add-on that adds a “Dislike” button to Facebook that does what it says; it lets you finally dislike those links you formerly had to dislike only with a comment. Facebook right now offers only the “Like” button so without this extension you can’t voice your disapproval with a click.
The downside of this plug-in is that the developer uses his own server to keep track of both the “disliker” and the disliked item. This means you and your Facebook contacts have to install this extension to be able to see the “thumb-down” figure besides the “disliker’s” Facebook user-name – to bad because this extension really fits-in.
Facebook Dislike extension is free download for all platforms with Firefox. Its still in the experimental phase, it might have bugs.

Mockups first came out for Firefox 3.7 and 4.0 Windows, this time around mockups are out for Firefox 3.7 and 4.0 Linux.
* Consistent Back/Forward Buttons: Use the same back/forward shape as on the other platforms. The back button would use the same texture as the other buttons however it would be round and larger.
* Buttons vs Icons: Switching to a button+glyph style for the toolbar items. This would be instead of the more representational style that is widely used. It also is a deviation from the common system standard of having icons and then a button shape on hover.
* Curvier Tab Shape: Match the tabs to the proposed tabs on Windows and Mac while keeping the native texture and color.
* Removing Toolbar Separators: Reduces visual complexity as well as maintaining external consistency.
