Mythbuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope Beta Screenshot Tour
Mythbuntu is a community built MythTV-focused distribution of Ubuntu. It aims at resolving the difficulties of setting up a standalone MythTV system with Ubuntu. MythTv as Mythbuntu becomes a full-fleshed open source DVR (Digital Vclasseo Recorder) application, with a solclass developer community in the background. Its development cycle closely follows that of Ubuntu — it is also upgraded every six months.
As an Ubuntu-based Linux distribution, Mythuntu 9.04 Beta bundles the Xfce 4.6.0 Desktop Environment (Xfce 4.6) with the recently released Thunar file manager version 1.0 that makes its debut in Xfce 4.6.0 (Thunar replaces xffm).
– It does not include major Ubuntu apps like Gimp, OpenOffice, Evolution etc.
– Like Ubuntu 9.04 beta it includes the recently released Firefox 3.0.7, VLC media player 0.98.
Download and burn the Mythbuntu ISO file. The frontend can run directly from the live CD. Enjoy the screenshots.

Always been a fan of mythbuntu, even prefer it to Ubuntu for its multimedia + DVR and its front-end/back-end combinations.

I recently switched over to a MythTV box and haven’t looked back – it’s awesome! I encourage anyone who’s even remotely interested to make the transition!
