What is this blog all about?

Kabatology is a web log fundamentally about Open Source and Linux. Kabatology stands by the GNU Project that is “Free software is a matter of the users’ freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software”. Kabatology also stands by Open Source Initiatives (OSI).

Who’s responsible for this blog?

I’m Kanute, the writer who’s responsible for all the material you read on this blog. Apart from managing Kabatology, I do part-time teaching on Linux, I work as an IT Consultant. I use a lot of Java, Mysql, Php, C (to work on Linux Kernels), propose new economic systems to businesses…

My personal interests revolve around Music, Internet media, Football(Soccer) and Visiting. Talking about Music (makes my world go around) I’m particularly interested in Jazz – from Afro Jazz to Latin Jazz, to the classics that’s why I often take a break and spice Kabatology with a few Jams.

My academic interests are rather varied: I read widely on topics such as mass communication, sociology, political science and IT of course. My professional interests lie in affiliate marketing, social media, blogging and anything which results in copious amounts of money.
