Ubuntu-Studio 13.04 Screenshot Tour

The last time I did a screenshot tour of Ubuntu Studio here at Kabatology was to present the once grandiose, now out-dated Ubuntu Studio 9.10. Ubuntu Studio 9.10 was more eye-candy, now its a signor multimedia and graphic orientated Linux Operating System for professionals.

Version 13.04 codenamed Raring Ringtail gains new powerful applications like recordmydesktop video software, audio software supercollider and Krita digital painting studio. Other big names present include Gimp Image Manipulation, OpenShot video editor. Xfce has been updated to version 4.10 in this version, Kernel (lowlatency) is now version 3.8.

Upgrading from Ubuntu Studio 12.10. The Ubuntu studio team recommends a fresh install rather than an upgrade to install 13,04. “Although the upgrade from Ubuntu Studio 12.10 to 13.04 does work, it will introduce some issues. Henceforth, the Ubuntu Studio team is recommending a fresh install rather than an upgrade to install 13,04”.
