Deluge BitTorrent client gets uTP support
For Ubuntu, Windows and Mac. Deluge is simple BitTorrent client that covers all the basics a BitTorrent client should have. But that’s also it downside, just too simple, no bells or whistles. The most current version of Deluge, v1.3.6 seems to support µTP (uTorrrent Transport Protocol), provided by libtorrent. This used to be a major drawback for many users. uTP is a transport protocol which uses one-way delay measurements for its congestion controller to avoid network breakdowns.
It’s many features include Web UI, BitTorrent Protocol Encryption, Web seed, RSS (via Plugin), Proxy support and more. Deluge is a free cross-platform BitTorrent client, its available to download for Mac, windows and Linux, and Ubuntu.
To install in Ubuntu 11.10, 12.04, 12.10 and 13.04 just do the
sudo apt-get install deluge
to get the installation rolling. Launch and configure.
